The service started with "Love Divine, all loves excelling", Samantha Legg read a dedication on behalf of Madelyne's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anne Soley gave a reading on behalf of Madeyne's many friends at St Catherine's Women Institute, Mother's Union and Pegasus Court.
